Or perhaps they do without a sign or direction, but merely their own sense of authority and ownership over the event of the installation.

Despite the space being curated and appearing interactive, it wasn't a bowling alley, nor a sculpture. It was a suspended happening. the moment before an event takes place. The stage before the performance, ready for a series of events to play out.

In terms of performance and installation art, where is the line between interaction and pure observation? The viewer can cross that line without the artist's permission, in turn violating the prism of the artist's preconception of their own work. As a viewer, you can be guilty of getting it all so wrong, or changing the future of what the work means.
